San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC)
SJC is the primary airport group transportation option for most Cupertino itineraries. The drive is short — typically 15 to 25 minutes via I-280 — which makes it practical to run multiple pickups for a group arriving on different flights rather than holding one vehicle for hours.
Commercial vehicle staging at SJC is defined by the airport, so we confirm the pickup curb and meeting instructions with the group leader before travel day. For inbound groups, sending flight numbers rather than scheduled times lets dispatch adjust for delays.
San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
SFO handles most long-haul and international travel for Silicon Valley groups. The Cupertino to SFO run uses I-280 or US-101 depending on time of day, and departure buffers matter: the same trip that takes 45 minutes at 10am can take well over an hour during commute periods.
For departing groups we build the schedule backward from the airline's recommended arrival time, including loading at the origin, which is often the segment groups underestimate most.
Oakland International Airport (OAK)
OAK serves East Bay itineraries and is quoted regularly for groups whose carrier or fare structure favors it. Routing crosses either the Dumbarton or San Mateo bridge, or runs up I-880, and bridge traffic is the dominant variable in the schedule.
Luggage, arrivals and coordination
Luggage volume typically decides the vehicle before seat count does. A group of 24 with checked bags and equipment cases usually needs a motorcoach with under-floor bays rather than two shuttle buses. Conference groups traveling with booth materials or teams traveling with equipment should describe that cargo when requesting a quote.
- Under-coach luggage bays on 51–56 passenger motorcoaches
- Coordinated pickups across multiple flight arrivals
- Meet-and-greet options where airport procedures allow
- Hotel transfers combined with airport legs on one itinerary
- Conference and corporate group arrival management
- Large family and reunion group transportation
Combined airport, hotel and event itineraries
Airport transportation rarely stands alone. A conference group arriving at SJC usually needs hotel transfers, venue shuttles and a departure plan as one connected schedule. Running all of it through one operator means the vehicle that meets the flight is already assigned to the rest of the week. See corporate transportation and convention shuttles.
